About Grid Puzzles
About Grid Puzzles
By far the most popular of logic puzzles are the grid logic puzzles, though there are many other
varieties including word logic, maze logic, grid-less, syllogisms, and the like.
What most of the 'logic' puzzles have in common is that the game involves some form of
deductive reasoning., or that which we start with the general ( a set of clues) and move to the particular
( a logical conclusion) just like a real doggone sleuth!!

BONUS SECTION
Well if you have made it this far, first let me say congratulations!!! (just kidding).
If you enjoy logic puzzle grids, I thought you might be interested in some word logic, or grid-less puzzles.
So put on your thinking cap and get ready to solve some mind boggling logic puzzles:
1] THE GUILLOTINE:
A lawyer wanted to argue for a one-million dollar damages claim based on the following scenario:
His client went to an art museum here in town, where he saw a painting of the French queen, Marie
Antionette on a guillotine.
He subsequently fell asleep and began dreaming of the painting. At the museum's closing time a security
guard tapped him on the neck just as he was dreaming of the beheading.
The tap unfortunately caused the man to immediately go into cardiac arrest and he died, on the account
of the fact that the tap by the guard the man associated with the tip of the guillotine.
Why did the judge immediately throw this case out of court?
2] What day follows the day before yesterday if two days from now will be Sunday?
3] The Wedded Knight
A certain knight wanted to marry the beautiful King's daughter. Unfortunately the king has some
misgivings and tells the knight he will take two pieces of paper, and on one write " Death",
and on the other the King will write " Marriage". The knight must then choose one of the pieces
of folded paper, and reveal his fate. Just before the knight chooses , the princess whispers in his ear
that both pieces of paper say "Death".
How can the knight win the day and marry the princess?
4] Peter is taller than Nancy and Dan is shorter than Peter.
Which statement can be proved true?
( a) Dan is taller than Nancy. (b) Dan is shorter than Nancy.
(c) Dan is at least as tall as Nancy. (d) None of the above.
5] If we have the following four statements , which one is true?
(a) The number of false statements here is one.
(b) The number of false statements here is two.
(c) The number of false statements here is three.
(d)The number of false statements here is four.
