Free Kids games ( including sudoku puzzles ) can help kids acquire thinking that is
both, coherent and logical. Such thinking allows for them to be able to make sound
judgements based on drawing conclusions based in fact.
This manner of proceeding in logic is what we like to call ‘natural deduction’.
In fact, most Sudoku puzzles can be solved by the logical method of
deduction, that is moving in a straight line from point A (the general),
to point B (the particular).
In other words kids can learn that if x doesn't fit, then the answer must
be y ( employing 'natural' deduction by elimination) and best of all
little or no math needed ( amazing right? )
A puzzle in which a grid consisting of several regions is to be filled with numbers so that every row, column, and region contains only one instance of each number. The most common format is a grid of nine rows and columns that are divided into nine smaller regions of three rows and three columns into which the numbers 1 through 9 must be placed.
